I once had a desire to pursue computer science and built huge and complex software, and luckily, I've accomplished it after years of relentless work. Here is what I did, 1. Used to watch specific entrepreneurs' movies. 2. Follow tech trends and learn from them, not in Africa's level but high tech developed country level. 3. Will always have sticker notes on my wall in order to follow up on my plans. 4. I'll pray as much as I can for guidance and through hardships 5. Usually, I've no friends because most people don't believe in my vision or goals. They saw me as crazy person cuz, I've these unique ideas to accomplish. Usually outcast me or kicked out of many places. 6. I practice coding 80% and read theories 20% 7. Done countless projects to improve my skills. 8. No matter what, I'll never ignore my goals, but through challenges, I might have changed my plans. Cuz, plans can be changed, but goals can't!! 9. I do solve problems first, then refactor them later for improvement. Which saves me a lot of time and effort. As in work smarter, not harder. 10. Never take advice from people who have no insight about where I wanna go and where I am. // Here is what I've accomplished so far and including failures 1. X3 failed startups due to weak infrastructure and governmental regulations. 2. Won national entrepreneurship competition and received grand price. 3. Im one of the few people's who built and launched a famous game called KENO in Ethiopia. I built full featured virtual betting games (+4 games) and certified by INSA. Hooked thousands of users and generated revenue for quite some time. All single-handedly. 4. Built a couple of open-source projects for software developers. 5. Currently working on a new startup and seeking funds from Silicon Valley. Launching soon (2018)
