For Ram don't go below 4gb I recommend 6gb and above. For storage go with 128gb believe me it sounds large but after installing some apps it will get full but its manageable. Then the brand of the phone because you are trying to buy from mid range to lower Ranged phones the brand matters, go with Samsung, huwawei, realme and redmi. Tecno is also good but I don't think it is like the above ones. Then you can also look the processor most middle - lower Ranged phones use early exinos and snapdragon chips. Though if the phone is made recently the processors are good. So there is website that you can compare mobile processors and choose that suit you. Remember when you see the phone first go to settings then go to device care or about section to check the specs, some phone have ram extension which is nice to have. And if you want to test all the hardware of the phone and the phone is from samsung you just go to device care and and there is diagnostic there to test every Aspect of the phone.
