It's usually like that. They just make you do their work and expect you to be happy for it. If it's a paid internship and the tasks they're giving you aren't that difficult i suggest you be patient, if not ask them to give you tasks within your department. They will be salty and your internship might also get cancelled. Or simply pretend your busy or you don't know whenever they ask you for help. A Whichever works for you
