I am a sixth-year female medical student, and I will be graduating in a year. With everything going on right now, I am thinking about starting a home health care business. I’m curious to know if people really need and accept these kinds of services. I’m interested in offering things like wound care, diabetes testing, checking blood pressure, HIV testing, and other basic treatments at patients’ homes. If anyone has done this type of work before(in this group) or has experience, I would love to hear your comments and advice. Please share your opinion and support me as a fellow woman!
May 23, 2025I'm not involved in home health care myself, but I do know some individuals in that field. If you're looking to start your own home-based health care company, it's important to conduct market research first. This will help you understand the market potential, as well as the services that are currently being offered by competitors, and define your target audience. I know of more than five home health care providers in Addis Ababa. consider the types of services you want to provide, such as skilled nursing, physical therapy, or personal care assistance. It's also essential to familiarize yourself with local regulations and licensing requirements for home health care providers to ensure compliance. Building a strong network with healthcare professionals and community organizations can also be beneficial for referrals and partnerships. Lastly, focus on creating a compassionate and skilled team, as the quality of care you provide will be the cornerstone of your business's reputation and success. Good luck 🤞
