It's like asking does water has a water in it the difference is anatomy, I mean it is different to say do donuts have donuts in them.. Donut is a donut, but the only donut in a donut is a donut implying there aren't many. Regarding water, by definition water = H2O.. implying every molecule is water i.e. The number of water in a container equals the number of molecules with H2O .. By this premise if you can determine what thought is and not, you could know whether there are thoughts in thoughts.

I remember to have a dream in a dream .. remembering is sign of consciousness residues being present at the moment which reminds you are at a dream.. And if anything the possibility is of duplicity - not necessarily identical. Hence his question could imply another thought than thought in a thought. Tea<->Teapot, Thought <->Mind
