I also have the same problem. I haven't yet solved it completely but I think what is helping me at the moment is looking back on my past experiences (childhood, school, college..) and evaluating the relationships I have with people in my life in particular parental figures, siblings, and friends. Ask yourself such questions:
1. What childhood experiences could have increased your anxiety?
2. Have you had any traumatic life experience growing up or afterwards?
3. Have you had any bad experience in school such as bullying?
4. How is your social relationships, especially with your parents?
5. How about your relationship with yourself? How do you see yourself? Do you value yourself? Do you have any insecurities?
...
Two things to remember:
1. Being anxious is not your personality. Don't own it. High anxiety level is not okay. It is not similar to being shy or being an introvert. It's something you need to work on and identify the root causes or aggravating circumstances.
2. Normal level of anxiety is okay, especially during certain situations in life (e.g. doing a class presentation) or during period of your life (e.g. losing a loved one). So don't confuse being normally anxious with having anxiety problems.
Hope it helps...was great to reflect for myself as well:)
