I think manslaughter and first degree murder are sentenced differently

They already receive a different punishment depending on whether the death was premeditated or not

As you said it is accidentally not intentionally ,so intention matters here ,this implies that the person will not recieve same punishment .motive ,intention ,preparation are major ingredients to decide.
