I don't think there is a condition on how older guys should be more than a girl but it's preferable if they're older, just like it's preferable if the guy is taller than the girl but the other way around is fine as well as long as they're interested in each other. But more than 10 years or so is a gap that's too much, but 3 - 10 years gap would be fine in my opinion.
