As a thought exercise, why do you think you/people in general should have kids? If you remove the religious reasoning by the command "ብዙ ተባዙ ምድርንም ሙሏት" for christians, or whichever commandment there is for muslims... and also remove the societal aspect of pleasing our parent by through marriage or children, or the status that being called የልጆች አባት/እናት gets you... Why should we bring life into this world?

Aug 12, 2026First: they are innocent. They reflect what they perceive like a glass do, and who hates having his own? Second: other reasons are secondary.. but I think (now) morality is a motivator, I mean if you could just handle more than yourself, your marriage and everything, why not do the same with having children? It's a matter of expanding/ fulfilling experiences too. Why we currently doubt it is because of unstable situations in the broader and narrower sense. It is a testing time for serious.
Aug 10, 2026Personally I believe that financial stability should be a first for stable marriage, This is not only due to religious reasons but also because you need someone by your side as you grow older, you may have a bunch of friends around you for a long time,but if something happens to you or if you have an accident, the only people who will truly be there for you are your family so you can take them as life partners
