Hi Family, I graduated from a government university, fulfilled all of my cost-sharing obligations, and returned my temporary certificate. I have now received my original degree certificate, but it includes the following statement: "This certificate of graduation has been given pending the printing and issuance of the actual diploma." What does this mean? Does it indicate that the document I received is not the original diploma?
Jul 13, 2026This means the university either has a shortage of hard-copy certificates, the printing machine is not working, or they have a long waiting list. The document you received (I think it's printed on A4 paper) is also legitimate. You can apply for scholarships with it, and within a few months you can collect the original document printed on hard paper.
