Have you heard the concept "የገበያ ጥናት" by revenues bureau? Do you think it is right in a country which follows the free market ideology? You sell a product for a 100 birr (85 birr + 15 birr vat) but u have to pay 30 birr vat just because they have the "የገበያ ጥናት" price which they studied that the product you sold is priced at 200 birr. And mind you the study is not even right. There are different quality, color, grade, type.... Of the same product but they are all the same for them. What kind of bullshit system is this? And does anyone know how to avoid this? Does this work for all cities or just Addis Ababa?
