Mar 17, 2025check for battery life since you will use it without a plug, then go to the CPU Capacity since you cant upgrade that more than it has on it, check for a GPU capacity then comes the ram and HDD. since you are buying a brand new laptop it should have a solid state drive. since you are asking about the specific spec here it is:-Intel Core i5/i7 or AMD Ryzen 5/7: These processors provide excellent performance for multitasking and compiling code. RAM 16GB or more: Ensures smooth operation when running multiple applications or virtual machines. Storage 512GB SSD or higher: SSDs offer faster boot times and quicker access to files compared to HDDs. Display 15.6-inch Full HD (1920x1080): A larger screen with good resolution is easier on the eyes during long coding sessions. Graphics Integrated Graphics: Sufficient for most programming tasks unless you're into game development or machine learning, in which case a dedicated GPU like NVIDIA GeForce GTX/RTX is recommended. Battery Life 8+ hours: A long-lasting battery is essential for working on the go. Keyboard Backlit and ergonomic: Comfortable typing is crucial for long hours of coding. Operating System Windows, macOS, or Linux: Choose based on your preference and the tools you plan to use. macOS is great for iOS development, while Linux is popular for open-source programming. Ports USB-C, USB-A, HDMI, and SD card reader: A variety of ports ensures compatibility with peripherals. Weight Lightweight (under 2kg): Portability is key for students who need to carry their laptops around.
