Religion is a wicked thing, i don't know how people obey those old rules and myths....in this modern and scientific world! Most things in the bible and other religious scriptures were disproved and found to be a myth yet people are not eager to let it down! Okay. Doing altruist act is great in sense of bieng good! And Yeah God expects you to be selfless and care about others more than yourself.....because he cares about you! The bible says....look at the birds does any one feed them? Do they care about their tomorrow? While birds believe in their God why you people can't? I think this verse is trying to say, there is God who cares about you and you don't need to care about yourself!
