I am currently studying electrical engineering not electrical nd computer engineering just electrical engineering and thinking about switching to Journalism i'm interested in journalism but iam worried about jobs income nd regretting my decision later if you were in my position what would you do? how has your experience in Journalism been and do you think it offers good career opportunities?
Jun 13, 2026I like such people! Keep studing the EE, some of my friends did 2 degrees when we were in campus, if you feel like being a journalist is something you might like... Do it! I have almost worked for almost 10 yrs now, and something I realised is what ever field you joined, you just need to put the work in! Educated or not it doesn't matter... Passion is the best drive you could ever have! You are the best moment of your life. Choose and grind!

Jun 13, 2026Stay in EE but take one journalism class or join the student paper...test the fire lelaw demo if u love it minor in journalism or finish EE then do a short master's You won't regret chasing curiosity u might regret never trying selezih give it a small shot before u fully switch

Jun 13, 2026(edited)One of my friends was studying journalism but later switched to economics. Back in highschool we all said he would be an extraordinary journalist when he graduates because he was so good st it. But midway in univ he switched to economics... He said job prospects are very low.
