Instead of giving up try to reconnect again plus u didn't love him from the get go it wasn't love it was just limerence so try to pnt out top 5 or 10 things that makes him unique n which made u fall for him n then things will be okay n also try to be best friends like be fools do idiotic things tease each other wrestle etc....do things that makes u different from other couples n then things will be fixed
