So, I’m a second-year pre-engineering student at AAU, and we’re about to fill out field placement forms in three days. Placement is based on our CGPA from three semesters. My first semester was good, but my GPA has been dropping, and after the third semester, I doubt I’ll hit 3.0 in this semester . Based on my GPA, I might get Chemical or Biomedical Engineering, but I wanted Software or Electrical Engineering. Now, I have two options: 1. Drop out, reapply, ace the entrance exam, and join Software Engineering as a self-sponsored student. I’d skip pre-engineering but lose two years. 2. Accept whatever department I get, even if it’s not what I want. I’m stuck—what would you do?
