Jan 16, 2025Finding episodes of the "Hagere" documentary series from approximately 25 years ago can be challenging due to the limited availability of archival content from that period. However, here are some avenues you might explore: 1. Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation (EBC): As the successor to ETV, EBC may have archives of older programs. You can contact them directly to inquire about accessing specific episodes. 2. Online Archives and Platforms: While specific episodes of "Hagere" may not be readily available online, platforms like EthioVisit.com offer a range of Ethiopian documentaries and videos that might be of interest. 3. Community Forums and Social Media: Engaging with Ethiopian cultural forums or social media groups dedicated to Ethiopian history and media might connect you with individuals who have personal recordings or can guide you to other resources. 4. Local Libraries and Cultural Institutions: Institutions in Addis Ababa may hold archives of local television programs. Visiting or contacting them could provide leads on accessing the "Hagere" series. 5. YouTube and Other Video Platforms: Some users upload vintage television content. Searching for "ETV Hagere" or related terms might yield results. 6. Hagere TV: Although not directly related to the original "Hagere" series, Hagere TV produces content focusing on Ethiopian culture and history. Exploring their archives might offer similar content. Please note that due to the passage of time and potential archival limitations, locating specific episodes may require persistent effort and outreach to multiple sources.
