Why are TikTokers in our country so famous that they are considered almost like celebrities? I mean, the app isn't a significant platform, and the content is often mediocre at best, filled with so much trivial material. I understand that some of them are making good money, so good for them and you might think that their content must be great because they’re earning a lot, but creating good art and making money can be two different things. It’s important to separate the quality of the art from the financial success. What’s even more surprising is that I think some of these TikTokers are now showing up on mainstream TV. This crossover raises questions about the nature of fame today and what it takes to be considered a star in our media landscape.
