I use Figma, I've never tried XD. Personally I'm really comfortable using figma, there are may youtube tutorials, free resources, ready made projects and more, it's also available to use on web browser, so you don't necessarily need to download an app. And on the plus side, if u have .edu email, you can use it to sign up for figma premium (although you don't need it)
