Hello guys! 😊 My Ethiopian friend here in Norway recommended this group, so I thought I’d ask for some advice. My friends and I are planning a trip to Ethiopia and Kenya next summer, and we’re so excited to experience the culture and food! So we were wondering if anyone here recommend us some must visit places in Addis Ababa? And what local dishes should we absolutely try? Also, if you have tips on unique experiences or anything else we should know, that would be amazing. Thanks so much for your help! ❤️
Dec 15, 2024If you come to Ethiopia, you shouldn't return before visiting these cities: 1.Hawassa city (fikir lake, amora gedel) 2. Bahirdar city - Lake Tana, the different islands on Lake Tana 3. Wenchi Resort: a beautiful place just outside Addis Ababa 4. Debrezeyit city : A city just outside AddisAbaba, a refreshing place to stay from the noisy city, visit kuriftu resort and bishoftu resort. 4. Arbaminch City: the most beautiful and green place in southern Ethiopia. It is known for its above 40 springs(hence its name "Arbaminch" which translates to "40springs"), it has delicious live fishes, if you visit here, I recommend staying at "haileresort" it has a great view. 5. Gondar city: this country is considered the holiest and the center of pilgrimage (although it is a little unstable now due to some political conflicts) You will observe peak Architectural skill buildings of "rockhewan" churches at Lalibela, which were built from a single rock cut. 6. Harar city: Hand-feed hyenas and prey birds, observe the historical "legal" building, the largest spice and meat market, and the street food, and meet the most friendly and chill people of All Ethiopia.
