if you can afford it use high end pcs with graphics card (like gaming pcs ).Blender, specifically, is not great on macOS. They recently added a Metal renderer (with Apple's help) which improves things somewhat, but you generally can get much better bang-for-buck for 3D applications with a Windows machine.
