Amharic is quite an easy language to learn. To start speaking, you could begin with basic words such as days, months, numbers, greetings, getting to know someone, and asking for help. Reading is extremely easy too; you just have to memorize 231 letters. Don't panic yet! There is a pattern, which means you only need to know the 33 main letters. One letter represents one sound and the others follow with a same pattern (you'll get what i am talking about when you start), and that's it. There are no separate vowel or consonant letters to worry about. There are some apps you could try, but i suggest you watch youtube videos just search it.
