Hello I am grade 11th student and I am thinking my future occupation to be a construction engineer but as we know in ethiopia there are more than 10MILLION engineers and I have been worried since I heard this info because I thought it might affect my life in the future so what shall I do? Will it really affect me if I continued this class or shall I change it actually I have a plan B which is IT and I'm starting to think that IT is more portable than construction engineering...what would u advice me?

don't abandon ur life long dream just becoz u r scared u might not get a job or sth,, ik its one factor,, but if u dont learn n do what you love u wont find what you want in life hence you won't be happy,,, just be the best at what you do,,trust me u will succeed

Really are there 10 million enginners I don't think so that means out of 11 or 12 people one is engineer, I don't think all engineers and their families together reach 10 million.

Hi👋👋, hw u doing??? The important thing in life to know and to follow and to trust is your guts never ever doubt it. If u really want to be A Construction Engineer u can be everything is possible. EVERYTHING. Just have to be sure of ur idea bcoz if u really wanna be stg u achieve it not bcoz u want but u need it in ur life maybe u don't even realised it but ur brain knows it. It is like brushing ur teeth but didn't remember it. Did u know what I meant??? Just have a confidence

Try to learn some programming languages or take intro to computer science courses like CS50. You can do this in your free time and see if you are interested in IT. I think you can become a developer by your self. You can take the courses at your own pace. I also know smart people who have joined civil engineering knowing they are many civil engineers. Because it is their dream. You have time! You are young. Use it to figure out what you want. Give IT a try before you decide to pursue it as a carrier.

I'd go with IT since our generation is so intertwined with technology there's always a place for an expert on that or maybe software engineering if you're into that!!
