I don't know about that in orthodoxy but let me tell you depending on the holy bible. Egziabher amlak zefenn ayiwedm “የአሕዛብን ፈቃድ ያደረጋችሁበት በመዳራትና በሥጋ ምኞትም በስካርም በዘፈንም ያለ ልክም በመጠጣት ነውርም ባለበት በጣዖት ማምለክ የተመላለሳችሁበት ያለፈው ዘመን ይበቃልና።” — 1ኛ ጴጥሮስ 4፥3 “በቀን እንደምንሆን በአገባብ እንመላለስ፤ በዘፈንና በስካር አይሁን፥ በዝሙትና በመዳራት አይሁን፥ በክርክርና በቅናት አይሁን፤” — ሮሜ 13፥13 Ena esu yalwededew neger mns bihon biker esu kalwededew alwededewm new esti kidmiya and neger liteyikih...Egziabher mn yakl yiwedikal be af sayhon betegbar hiwetk lay sisera yayehewn elf aelaf negeroch kuter....keza yantenm fkr temelketew Endefikadu bewededew menged endinmelales esun maweku yikedmal Read your bible and ask

Idk About Orthodox but music is a beautiful human art, a message of glory and beauty, anyone who is against it is insulting man kind.

Don't use the voice that was given to praise God to your satisfaction it is no more than sex cause you are using God's instruments he gave you to bear children to your own satisfaction and also musical instruments so it is a sin.
