While there were and still are problems the biggest factor is the propaganda of TPLF scaring the ppl half to death. 3 tegaru die and they shout genocide, 50,000 oromoo die nothing. Back in 2010 and 2011 we were in a huge politically caused humanitarian crisis, it seems to be subsiding now, even though there still a political crisis. If we take a look at it by ethnicity more oromoo, amhara & gedeos have died than tigraways. But their ethnic elites dont scream as much as TPLF thus the rest are still here while the tegaru are packingcup. The reason for TPLF's propaganda is two fold, one is literally to scare the ppl into supporting it and the other is to use this as an excuse for any future shit they might do. You can take notice of this in the manner they presented their election. They repeatedly said self determination not democracy not legitimacy...self determination. The govt has taken notice and is deploying its operatives in collaboration with civil societies to calm the tension.
