Approaching someone you like can be nerve-wracking, especially when you interact with them in a professional setting. Here are some steps to help you make your next move:
1. Build a Connection: Continue visiting her shop and try to have more casual conversations. Ask her how her day is going, comment on something in the shop, or find common interests to discuss. This will help you both feel more comfortable around each other.
2. Look for Signs of Interest: Pay attention to her body language and how she responds to your interactions. If she seems engaged, smiles, or initiates conversations, these are positive signs.
3. Take It Slow: Don't rush into asking her out immediately. Build a friendly rapport first. As you get to know each other better, it will feel more natural to ask for her number or suggest hanging out outside of the shop.
4. Be Direct but Respectful: When you feel the time is right, you can casually ask for her number. You might say something like, "I've really enjoyed our conversations. Would you be interested in grabbing coffee sometime?" This approach is straightforward and respectful.
5. Prepare for Any Outcome: Be ready for any response. If she says yes, great! If she declines, respect her decision and continue being polite when you visit her shop. It might feel awkward initially, but it will pass with time.
Taking a thoughtful and respectful approach will increase your chances of success while maintaining a good relationship regardless of the outcome. Good luck!
Jun 05, 2024I appreciate this are useful tips, but for tip number 3, how slow should I take it, others take over the shop when she's not there and she might be away from the shop for a long time as she has before.should I just ask for her number giving a reason like "let me get your number so I can ask you to put, let's say, bread for me when I come" and get her number?...then talk to her on the phone after? With out asking her out then ask her out after I talk to her on the phone?
