In the ABO GEREB system, disputes are typically resolved through mediation by respected elders or leaders within the community. These mediators listen to both parties involved, gather information about the conflict, and then facilitate a discussion aimed at finding a mutually acceptable solution. The process often emphasizes reconciliation and restoring harmony within the community rather than assigning blame or punishment. This system has deep cultural roots and is still widely practiced in many traditional societies, promoting social cohesion and stability.
