It was forbidden for women to do any kind of work for money in the 18thc, in the 19th c there were from little to no female Secretaries bc the job was thought to be "too hard" and bc they weren't taken as intelligent. In 2017 Secretaries and administrative assistants around the world were 94.6% women. Before you chauvinists say that women are not good at something , remember how women became so good at being Secretaries that a guy Secretary is now frowned upon.
