I don't mean to offend anyone I'm just curious. Why do oromos carry sticks around. Malet even in the recent holiday so many of them had sticks with them. Is it a cultural thing? What does it symbolize?

Oromos legend explains that Moses was holding stick with that shape. 2. It shapes also defines superiority of laws and constitution The stick which is held by women is called Sinqe. And it shows that they are married. If they place that stick between two fighting ppl, they must stop. unless the fighter will be blamed as disgraceful person to women and banished from society.
