How old are you now??...and what did you study in university?...Electrical or mechanical??...Being seaman isn't easy...u need to pass 12 month cadetship and plenty of exams...and after all that again u should show good performance to get promotion from your superior (Chief engineer)... if u just graduate from campus now...u are young so I advice u to join EMTI...salary wise it's incomparable to what u are getting now...what I suggest u is consider your age...because there could be some delays for different reasons...Le Electrical things aren't that hard once you get a promotion.
