Do I believe in love? Yes, I do, but there is one thing I have noticed. We don’t fall in love with a person as he is or as she is. We fall in love with our unrealistic expectations of the person. When we start catching feelings for someone, we begin to see them as an angel. Then, when we get the chance to date them and to meet them day-to-day, we learn that they are human beings just like us. We get annoyed by some of the things they do and start looking for something else; they don’t even know which rule they are breaking. Perhaps romantic movies and songs have an effect on our unrealistic expectations of love.
