why try changing someone? what if he also wants you to be not very religious? if you dont really accept the person as a whole then you shouldnt even be dating him in the first place. also what did he say when you told him this? so my recommendation is just tell him and leave him then find u a diakon or sth. because even you he changes for u then whats the value here? doing something he's really not into. wouldnt that make his belief fake?.
