Has anyone here ever read 'Crime and Punishment' by Fyodor Dostoevsky or any of his books? What kinda books are they? Some say that they're kinda traumatizing and are like mirrors to fact-check reality and yourself. His books are some sort of horror as well. What are your thoughts on this? I was planning to read 'Notes from Underground" and then 'Crime and Punishment'
Dec 20, 2023One of the greatest books I have ever read. It's more of a philosophy book than any other. Same as many Russian literature but is absolutely relatable. It's a beautiful story that helps you think real deep about what is right and what is wrong, and for me it showed me a new perspective of how I view morality and responsibility as well as guilty as whole. The English kinda terrible everyone mentioned but gah damn don't even think about reading the Amharic translation cause the writer just don't get it.
