That my friend is the feeling of being guilty of sin. You feel ashamed, empty, sad, depressed and abused by your own destructive works. I don’t know you’re religion and the extent of your faith but if you’re a true Christian you might be feeling the effects of grieving the Holy Spirit which you were sealed in till the day of judgment(redemption) Ephesians 4:30: “And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption of p l l.”  2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. This is what happenes when you ignore all of gods warnings and continue to sin once you’ve been saved. 2. If you’re not a Christian then that’s what you should be worried about. God by his goodness has made a way to forgive you after you’ve broken the law. And it’s not merely by asking him for forgiveness. Because god is just, he cannot simply let your transgression and sin go. You are guilty, and the wages of sin is death. And Jesus died the death you deserved you took on your wages, he never sinned but he took the punishment of death. To be saved you have to believe this, you have to believe that Jesus paid for your sins by his own blood. And that his blood covers you from gods judgment on sin which is death. Remember thousands of years before christ when the angel of death was killing all first born in the land of Egypt and god told Moses to tell all the Israelites to cover their house with blood of a lamb so that the judgment would pass over them, the same way now you are covered by the blood of Jesus Christ. John 3:16 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
