Airpods connect with iPhones using H1 and H2 chip...Bluetooth is an optional connection method for device like android or any other device that does not use the apple proprietary protocol so to simply put it if it connects with your iPhone or other apple products via Bluetooth it's more likely to be fake (You can test this by opening an original airpod next to an apple device without connecting Bluetooth and it should recognize it and prompt you to connect when you press the little round button on the back of the airpod case...The button usually does nothing on the fake ones so that could be another hint) Hope this helps :)
