In terms of job opportunity it's identical. Salary I think software engineering takes the edge but it depends on ur position(entry level, junior, expert etc) so the salary depends on the skills u posses. When it comes to which studies which Software eng is about designing the software and identfying the requiremnts for that software before it is even coded or implemented. then comes coding which i think is minimal compared to Comp sci. Computer science is broad. It involves both hardware and software. And it also has the math part. U take all math classes calculus, linear algebra everything. Comp sci has more coding since it's about developing software. Hope this helps.
