I'm not perfect in Amharic language But have been living in Ethiopia for 3 yrs One Daily conversation word i couldn't be sure still now What do you say one respected person to say "Good morning" is it Dena aderacu or Dena aderu ?

Sep 26, 2023Actually if he is a young person you could just say dehna aderk. Use dena aderacu for matured people 🤝 if she is a young girl say dena adersh. I personally use those words rarely like twice a year or something lol
Sep 26, 2023Damn now thats a question, let us look at it this way, if u want to greet a good morning to a respected person in single or many form use "dena aderachu" but, u can use "dena aderu"for a single only if u add his name or a label used to discribe elderly like " dehna aderu gashe" or "dehna aderu father" or again by adding name "dehna aderu gash abebe or kebede or any other name. In the end its better to use dehna aderachu cuz its always valid for any respected person or elderly.
