Selam. Is it just me or are we witnessing the hypocrisy of Ethiopia. If u remember 2 years ago many tigrayans were jailed both innocent and not but majority of Ethiopia and the mainstream media (including opposition medias like EMS, esat, mereja) said it's for the good of the nation but now the same thing is happening on Amhara and many r saying the government is violating human rights (no question there the govn is evil) but the problem is where was the similar outcry back then. And why r people saying " Ethiopia tfersalech" when it is Amhara but not the same to others. Fyi: I'm mixed between Amhara and tigre

i agree that there is hypocrisy but people have their reasons . when the gov't was at war with tplf we are made to believe it was tplf and the whole world against us (Ethiopian).that's why many people stand together with the gov't or decided o be silent about it. we still don't know the the whole truth about what happened out there but now it's safe to say we it was all political . coming to your second point about people saying" Ethiopia will fell apart " in my opinion it because Amhara is almost half of Ethiopian population and also our economic sector which highly dependent on agriculture will suffer most because of the war . i am highly sorry mf my opinions offended you in any shape or form.My aim is not to offend, but to contribute to thoughtful dialogue.

Because tigrayans/tplf/ attacked the gov't to remain in power over the country like they did for the past 27 years.And idk what you're complaining about cause the whole outside world was supporting tplf regardless of the gruesome and horrific acts tplf committed against innocent ppl. The amhara on the other hand, is trying to stop the gov't from disarming them cause if they have no weapons,they have no means of protecting themselves and we all know against who.

It is because Tigrians have been framed with hatred because since Abiy to power, the suffering of tigrains has been ignored, The blockage or transport through Amhara to tigray due to the people creating a mob and burning car passing through to tigray have been ignored. This led to the nationwide oppression of tigrayan people. They were abandoned their right to mobility and settlement. Their identity alone was a crime against all the people in Ethiopia. This is because the government allowed this to happen. Why? I dont know for sure. But the reasoning of the majority of Ethiopian people was that every tigrian owed them since Ethiopia was lead spear_headedly by Tigrains for 2 and a half decade. The people were preached with false news and hatred by some media abroad and some derg militans, so the hatred was brewing for more than 2 decades.
