Studying in the USA or Canada with a degree from Ethiopia involves several steps, here's a general process you can follow: 1. Evaluate Your Degree: The first step is to have your degree evaluated by a recognized education evaluative service in the USA or Canada to determine its equivalent. World Education Services (WES) is often recognized and trusted for this. This information is needed by the universities to understand the value of your completed coursework. 2. English Proficiency Test: If your first language is not English, you'll typically need to demonstrate proficiency in English through tests like TOEFL, IELTS. The required score may vary from one institution to another. 3. GRE/GMAT: Most graduate programs in the US or Canada require GRE (most courses) or GMAT (business courses) scores. You’ll need to prepare and register for these tests. 4. Research Schools: Not all schools will necessarily recognize your Ethiopian degree, even after being evaluated. Therefore, research thoroughly on which schools have programs you're interested in and also accept evaluated foreign degrees. 5. Apply: Universities in the USA and Canada have different deadlines and requirements, so make sure to keep an eye on these. Usually, the application will involve submitting your academic transcripts, Letters of Recommendation (LORs), Statement of Purpose (SOP), and CV/Resume. 6. Financial Aid: Studying in these countries can be expensive. Look for universities that provide financial aid or scholarships that you can apply to. 7. Student Visa: Once you’ve been accepted into a program, you’ll need to apply for a student visa. The process for this will vary between the USA (F1 visa) and Canada (study permit). 8. Prepare for Departure: Once your visa is approved, you can plan your travel and accommodation in the new country. Remember, details can vary depending on the specific institution and program, so it’s important to do thorough research or getting advise from an educational counselor. @JIMKDAA_bOt
