You can use your phone(considering you already have a smartphone) for the time being, as it gets seriou my suggestion would be - Find a job (something like tutoring kids, i think that will be the perfect job for you) - Use your phone for the early stage programming and probably the universities lab computers while saving money almost all of it (the money you get paid for tutoring) - let's assume you get paid 2k-5k monthly i.e in 4-6 months you will have the money to buy a used laptop (try to find the one on a good condition) - then you transition from the universities lab computer to your laptop Overall point is if you are really passionate about it, Don't give up on it so easily, try your best.
