First of all that premise is wrong. if we use the same logic we have to ask why giants in science are Christian(religious), for example:- Isaac Newton, Werner Heisenberg, Gregor Mendel, James Clerk Maxwell, Michael Faraday etc... but i do get where u r coming from when u ask that question. so lets look at this from an atheistic point of view, and according to an atheist from Quora this r 4 points he mentioned " 1.They are educated and intelligent enough to see the absurdity of theistic dogma. 2.They’ve read multiple “holy books” with an open mind and seen for themselves that they’re nonsensical and self-contradictory. 3.They weren’t exposed to religious indoctrination as naïve children who were too young to be able to engage in critical thinking. 4.They have enough understanding of science and logic to see that there is no rational basis for theism and no evidence for the supernatural." for argument's sake lets say all the things he said are true, if so that makes 60-85% of the human population mentally retarded and dictates that for u to be actually educated u need to be an atheist but God forbids if u r a religious person and educated because according to him u r not educated if u r religious or a theist and hold a degree or PhD which is obviously wrong. we can also look at the second point, he states atheists have read multiple holly books "with open mind". that claim alone is laughable, for example it takes 2 years to finish the bible by constant scheduled reading but when u factor in studying the bible (understanding cultural context, temporal context, figurative speech etc..) it takes even longer (approximately 10 years). but as he said "multiple holly books" are estimated to take around 20 years if we take only the bible and the quran. so it is more logical to say that the second claim is more absurd than saying a man rose from the dead because there are atheist who are only 19 years old. and the last factor is how he sated there is no evidence for the supernatural which is also absolutely false. there are many recorded and unrecorded cases of supernatural act, nonetheless, his argument sums up how most "educated" atheist think of non atheists weather be educated or not. they see them selves as somewhat enlightened beings with truth whom no one could grasp because they lack the critical skills to do so. more or less the reason why educated people leave theism (a claim that is not accurate in the first place ) is because they try to equate the study of the natural world with the supernatural one but its unreasonable and illogical

As an atheist i say because bible seems like fairytale don't come at me i didn't say it is fairytale maybe i am wrong but it look just impossible
