Hello👋 I'm university freshman student and i wanna join software engineering so I'm gonna buy Pc. I want you to recommend me the best PCs for programing, graphic design....[software engineer] and also tell me what measurement i need to see when i buy pc for programming purpose. I can afford maximum 40,000 ETB. *it's best if ur programmer. Thanks✌️
May 25, 2023Well, I don't know if your budget is going to fit what i am going to suggest. Unless you are worried about inflation and your 40k will still be constant next year i suggest you hold on to that since you are a freshman and you aren't going to do programming now until you figure out what you need for yourself, i.e if you wanna be in to the Engineering(writing code, run VMs, containers...etc) or the Design stuff i.e (UI/UX design, animation(2D or 3D), Graphic Design etc..) You don't need a Graphics card for the former as you won't work on Blender, Cinema4D or anyother Graphic intensive adobe product so trade Graphics Card for CPU & RAM (you will need atleat 16GB if you plan to be a competitive coder) so having i7 or Ryzen 7 would be best but i5 with recent generation probably after 8 and Ryzen 5 with recent build will work too. I suggest you to stick with AMD Ryzen as it's good when it comes to battery optimization and power consumption. Remember i5 12th gen might outperform 17 7th gen and things like that so look their GeekBench score when you compare cpus don't just go for numbers like i3,i5,i7. Next is Ram 8GB might be a bit less as i struggled withe it , Having 16GB with 4GB and more swap is gonna be best. Next is Display, it has to be atleast 1080p you actually dont need something more than that to code to be honest. well if you have those go for the keyboard and other stuff based on your budget. Finally if you think you are in to 3D animation, Motion Graphics, Game Development, Video editing and stuff you gonna need Graphics Card probably RTX 3050 Ti(not sure if the budget goes up when you put this) As i have said it's better to figure out what you want to do with your PC first then research and do the tradeoffs, you can do that by giving yourself 6-8 months in the campus (unless you are too tempted to start coding and or Graphic stuff.... 😁)
