The ugly truth would be they are not interested. This may be to various reasons like they think you're ugly, or you're not how they expected or the magic fades or maybe they think you're out of their league. There can be dozen reasons more but point is why would you care, if they don't like you they can fuck off, these kinda people won't help in the long run.
