Online jobs in Ethiopia are becoming more popular due to the increasing availability of internet access and the growing demand for remote work opportunities. Some of the most common online jobs in Ethiopia include freelance writing, virtual assistance, graphic design, web development, and online tutoring.
One of the most difficult things when doing an online job in Ethiopia is related to the banking system. Many online payment platforms are not available in Ethiopia, which makes it challenging for freelancers to receive payments from clients outside of the country. Additionally, there are often high fees associated with international money transfers.
If I were to make a recommendation or comment on what banks could do to improve the situation for those doing online business in Ethiopia, it would be to work on developing partnerships with international payment platforms and reducing fees associated with international money transfers. This would make it easier for freelancers and other online workers to receive payments from clients around the world and help grow the digital economy in Ethiopia.
