28 M, I can write a lot about this but will try to limit it
1. Don't compare yourself with others. Everyone have their own journey. They have their own their strength, weakness, gift, insecurity, family, culture and values. Your current status is a result of 1000 variables so you can't pick one thing and feel bad about it by comparing to others. Everyone post their best on SM, not their losses so be happy with yourself.
2. Education- Don't expect your education will determine your future. Rather work on your skills. After you graduate, your employer doesn't give a shit about your GPA. They want to know what kind of value you are capable of creating for them. I graduated 6 years ago with a mediocre result. But I earn way more money than most. Non of my employers have asked me my GPA. They always want to know what kind of skill I have. So watch out for that. Also if the academic route is not your thing, better to look for other alternatives early on. Otherwise you will feel miserable later in your life.
3. Friends - most of your friendship in HS and Uni don't go that far. The ጀማ thing where you all hangout and chill won't last. Rather focus on your closest circle and cultivate your friendship with them. It gets lonely after you leave UV. One of my greatest regrets is not cultivating friendships.
4. Relationships - 99% of relationships you start in your teens and early twenties always fail. You change a lot through this years and it is difficult to align with your partner through all of this. So don't risk your life and future for something that most probably won't last. Also for girls, almost all men before 25 don't think of long term future when they start relationship. They probably wan't to hangout and have fun and nothing more than that. So ፍቅር ምናምን እያላችሁ አትጃጃሉ
5. Money - ማጣት መጥፎ ነው , after you graduate and start working you will go into rat race. ደሞዝ በ1 ትቀበላላችሁ፣ 15 ሳይደርስ እንዴት እንዳለቀ ሳታቁት ከእጃችሁ ይሄዳል, keza bemekra 1 yemeteana the cycle continues. Even if you have good earning, you won't have much that much extra to save. Even if you can save, you won't be able to afford house, car with that. So early on figure out how to go out of this rat race.
