I hope u have the interest and passion to the field, and I suggest u to start from the scratch, from cell to organ system u better now first the basics, u said u have time so take ur time to understand and figure out every system of our body in relation to each other get ready to get immersed into the ocean cause there are alot of things u have to know, don't think u have learned anything in high school compared to this it is nothing. You could learn alot of things by watching videos on YouTube, discuss with friends or seniors interested ones (if there is). So as a health student at AAU the major course I take are Anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, biochemistry, Microbiology, pathology (we have finished that course) they said there is a new course called CRC about patient care we gonna start it Thursday I guess. I think u know about minor courses which are freshman courses ( Economics...)
To be honest I never read references books because they are bulky and I don't have time to read all that but if u interested to
Anatomy... Tortora
Pharmacology.. Lippincott
Biochem...
Lehninger principles of biochemistry
Biochemistry A.Richard Harvey
Not all lecturers send us references books they just send power point and we watch videos if we don't understand some stuffs then end do question if there is.
