As the saying goes, the older we get the fewer friends we get. Having no friend at all is far better than having bunches of friends that are looking for something we can offer. Sure, we get lonely as we get older but we can still make some real friends that will be around for better and worse. Check and ask yourself what you can be improving to a real friend to someone else and that will work out for good, I hope.

I can relate to that. After joining campus, I couldn't build even a single true friendship. And really I am not the smartest person in class anymore. Maybe it is because of that, idk. But I don't think that should be our priority. We are here to learn, not to make friends. I know it can get lonely at times. But it is better to be alone than surround yourself with bad people. So focus on your school work and just work on yourself. Try to better yourself at things. Improve your public speaking skills. Improve your communication skills. Get the best grades you can possible get. Interact well with your classmates. Get involved both in academic and non-academic activities done in campus. Be active! Beat your insecurities! Present yourself well. And also take care of yourself very well......don't let loneliness pull you down into depression. And along your way, you may make good friends. If not, that's also okay. Don't pressure any relationship. Just make sure you are a good person to anyone around you. And you should really know that friendship is like any assignment or exam. You should put in the effort to get good result. So make sure you are not guarding yourself out of any good friendship you possibly make. But again, making friends should not be your focus. Alone or not, enjoy the journey!

I've overcomed same exact situation recently just by realising this truth about us(people are good at school and are kinda shy) we never get the chance to actually meet new people who are complementary to our vibes, who doesn't just consume our help...but also contributes his/her part. Even if we find an ideal one we never tend to approach then coz we are not used to doing so...mine was a little worse coz I never tend to ask for help from any person even the teacher...ena once I've realised this I started reaching out to people and began asking for help, discuss concepts with fellow brilliants. You can start by reaching out to me...you can test me in various fields specially physics related staff to make sure I qualify as a study partner

keep doing as usual . They are not in the way you want it to be just not cos of you . stay strong and keep shinning so dat everbody will be attracted by your force of attraction. Its normal to stay alone when nobody complements with you. You are a different girl and appreciate that one.
