Feb 15, 2023I don't agree with the meaning of affirmative action ... it says that it is compensation for the past injustice... like there is no more injustice towards women today. Well,most people think affirmative action is because women are not capable to compete with men. That's not the case tho, there should be affirmative action because even in the most modernized part of the world women face alot of challenges if its being socially, biologically, culturally... that men would never have to come across. There is affirmative action everywhere and I don't know why all eyes are on the medical students ... yes, they are dealing directly with someone's life. But isn't an engineer responsible for the lives of the ppl living in a house he built, isn't a pilot responsible for the life of his passengers... every field is responsible for someone's life either directly or indirectly.. stop shaming women medical students every year and making them feel like they are not good enough and they are where they are because of pity and not hard work!!
