Fellas here.. Can someone explain to me why is the velocity of a body is zero at maximum height???!
Jan 29, 2023because the body rests after reaching max height even though we dont notice it.

Jan 30, 2023For example if u throw a ball upwards it's initial speed or velocity is fast then decreases eyaderege yehedal bcz yejemerebet hay or yanen distance endehed yeredaw force eyeqenese yehedal then gravity act up yadergal ballu lay then max height or ballu velocity qeneso v.initialu 0 yehonal bcz yane yemeredaw force ena gravity cancel out yadergu ena ballu wede meder mewdeq yejemeral then v.final eyechemere yehedal keyejemer ena eyechemere yehedal....yehen ngr projectile motion lay bedenb tagegewalek wiz picture u can find it on grade 10 physics book

Jan 30, 2023This is blc the effect of gravity. Gravity affects the motion when we throw an object upward so it's speed decreade regularly and at maximum height it becomes zero then by the downward effect of gravity it's speed increase and becomes maximium before it touches the ground.

Jan 30, 2023First case if the launching velocity can beat the gravitational pull the final velocity won't be zero at any height. Second case if the launching velocity can't beat the gravitational pull, take this formula for example v2=u2+2as Since the acceleration is due to gravity (which is constant) and s=height v2=u2-2gh So let's say the initial (launching velocity) is 30m/s and take acceleration due to gravity 10m/s2, then v=sqrt(900-20h). Here comes the logic as the height increases velocity of the object starts decreasing when the difference between the launching velocity and the acceleration due to gravity at given height equals zero, the velocity of the object becomes zero and the height is the maximum height as launching velocity can't beat the gravitational pull any further, so that's why the velocity is zero at the maximum height.
Jan 29, 2023due to the existence of gravitational attraction force, after an object is thrown up it will get back down to the earth's surface. So once it ia thrown up and it reached the max. height then it is no longer going upwards right? It will begin it's journey downward. In orders to change the direction of motion it have to stop at the maximum height first and then begin acceleration down by 9.8m/s squared
Jan 29, 2023Cause at that point the object stops moving(momentarily). & then it starts falling back
Jan 29, 2023ππ: The velocity of a body is zero at the maximum height because at that point, the upward velocity of the object is equal to the downward force of gravity, causing the object to reach a state of equilibrium and stop moving upward. ... ...Have got itπ
