It means you're reducing the current semister credit hours But i don't recommend dropping a course b/c you will take it at the end or anytime this will affect your curriculum like late graduation and the course might be major course and it could have used as a pre-request for other courses in this case you will drop the course so dont do it just go through the curriculum

175Dropping :putting aside a course to take with other batch students that's when u have F in that course.there is a limit if credit hours a student can take in 1 semister so drop a course u scored F and add other course from preceding class
